A luxury timepiece, this is a Girard-Perregaux Laureato EVO 3 Ferrari F2004 chronograph wristwatch, reference 80180, limited edition Ti No. 187/249.
Girard Perregaux had the license to make Ferrari watches in the 1990s and early 2000s. In 2004, they produced a special commemoration of Formula 1 superstar Michael Schumacher's 5 Drivers' Titles and 6 Constructors' Championships for Ferrari. Schumacher helped to turn Ferrari from a struggling team to a Formula 1 magnate. These major wins are listed on the beautiful exhibition case back: 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, along with the Ferrari insignia, F1 World Championship, and F2004.
It is a self-winding watch with an original Girard-Perregaux automatic movement with chronograph complication caliber GP 33C0.A0, sub second, 52 jewels, 28,800 vph, Swiss made.
Chronograph functions: sweep second-hand and central 60-minute hand, 12-hour red sub-dial located at 6 o'clock. The chronograph hands are all flybacks.
This watch also features a 31-day calendar black sub-dial located at 12 o'clock and a 24-hour colorful sub-dial located at 9 o'clock.
The dial and case combine for a truly special tribute to Ferrari. The black checkerboard-pattern colorful dial is made of the exact carbon fiber used in the manufacture of Ferrari F1 cars. White luminous arrow indices, white minute/second track, and white/luminous matching hands as well. The sub-second red dial is located at 3 o’clock. The dial is also signed with the Girard Perregaux name/logo, also F2004.
Cased in a 43.5mm robust, comfortable, and lightweight case with a Laureato fixed octagonal bezel design, all made of titanium. The case and bezel have a nice satin finish due to the way it has been both brushed and polished. Original GP signed screwdown crown and screwdown chronograph-pushers as well. Anti-reflective sapphire front and back crystals and screw-down display back.
About the Laureato – Launched in 1975 in Italy, the most important market for Girard-Perregaux at the time. the model soon became known among the cognoscenti as the ‘the graduate (Laureato in Italian)’. The octagonal bezel sits atop the case, like a laurel crown sits upon the head of a laureate. Primarily aesthetic, the bezel is a luxurious detail that contributes to the model’s distinctive look.
This watch comes all original, the case, along with its integrated Girard Perregaux light brown bracelet, confers impressive levels of wearer comfort. Also, original Swiss-made signed Girard-Perregaux triple folding stainless steel clasp.
“When viewed across a room, the Laureato is instantly recognizable yet suitable for all occasions.” Without doubt, this timepiece celebrates the pinnacle of success for Ferrari's Formula 1 team, thanks to driver Michael Schumacher's successes.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
Please review the photos and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
It will be carefully packed.
